FRIDAY!

I think the grind of what is known as Georgia Tech has finally settled in, I think it's been at least 3 weeks since I've gotten more than 5.5 hours a sleep a night, and that includes weekends. Which is really bad on my part, but for some odd reason, It hasn't really phased me once I hit a certain point in the day. I think it's just that adreline of knowing it's my last year and wanting to not sleep through it. That's a valid excuse right? Well in the meanwhile, life is carrying on at the normal pace. Even though things are busy as always, I've really been able to enjoy myself a whole lot more this year.

After the first slew of tests, I think I've come out on top so far, Gotten straight A's in Systems, fairly certain I killed my Arch test, City planning is easy, and MGT 3150 will be as long as i don't choke. That is a HUGE stress relief!, But I guess it only took me 5 years at this school to reach that point. In the meanwhile, I'm still in the huge personal debate whether I should stay or should I go... Every logical and practical thought in me tells me to stay, but there is that certain something that makes me want to jump ship, and try something completely different. Maybe even just to leave for a year then to come back might be good for me. I guess that is why it's September still and not May.

Well I think that's all I got for now. Brotherhood retreat this weekend, Stuff next week, GRE the weekend after, there is plenty to write about!

Test #1

So here it comes! the first test of my 9th semester at Tech!, woahhh.. how time does fly, I guess some of those semesters I was cooping, but still. I think I've been here forever! It's been nice these past few weeks as things have quiteted down quite a bit. I got to catch lunch with a few old friends, my rat mom, my freshman roomate, my ole study partner. Things have been good this week!, Friday, I'll be making a presentation to the freshman with Cattums about mentorship, and then the two of us will finally be able to hang out a little bit this week!, It definaetly has been diffferent with her being on a different work schedule than I, but I guess it keeps things different and lively.

So! we are a RANKED football team since my freshman year in 2001, How about that for some fun. I can't wait for the game this weekend, I hope we keep our streak up to go 3-0 for the first time in I don't even know. Hopefully the folks will be able to come down to campus for a little bit on Saturday, but I think since the family is in town, that'll be unlikely. So in addition to my test, we also are presenting our first senior design presentation to our advisor. This'll be intereting. Jason, Mark and I went to the comm lab today to practice our presentation, and I sincerely hope it doesn't sound awful.

In other news, I signed up for the GRE, and have done some serious planning for grad schools, I still don't know if I would leave or not, man this weather has been soo awesome lately!, but I still want to leave doors open in the end, just to know if I would have stood a chance out there on the west coast. However... I am pumped about going surfing here ina few weeks, then over xmas break, I have the flight of all time planned. ok.. so Atlanta->Chicago->Seoul->Bangkok(visit)->Taipei(visit)->Los Angeles(family)->Salt Lake (ski trip!!)->Atlanta... I'm pumped, I think that's gonna be one hell of an adventure!

Well until next time...

September 7th 2005

Well today lives another similar chapter in the life of Paul Supawanich, somehow I always manage to put my two likes in life together, which doesn't usually work out to well for me:
1. Staying up late to do work
2. Getting Up Early...

But at any rate, the past week has been interesting, and a little bit of a rollercoaster, well at least in my usually go-with-the-flow lifestyle. I've jumped between applying for jobs, resume blitzing, grad school, the GRE, and re-renting my condo. Well let me explain further. Originally, I thought I was going to just stay at Grad school at Tech. After being in California, I rethought that whole way of thinking, and basically, tried to figure out any way possible to make it back to california. To do that, I was going to apply for jobs, and then hopefully return after 2 years., Now I am back to square one thinking that I am going to apply for grad schools in california for next fall. Which kinda poses a problem... because I have done ZERO preperation to apply for schools that don't begin with Georgia and end with Tech. So today, I contacted Cal Poly and Berkeley with hopes that I *might* be able to get into either of those programs. I also applied for the GRE today which is kinda a shock as well.

In more fun and exciting news, I got a bike today!, I drove Cattums' car up there and found a nice dude from England who had a junkyard of bikes in his yard and about 10 kids running around to match. Great guy though, and a great bike for a cheap price I must say. On the drive up, I did recieve some good and encouraging advice from home. I think I might need some more asking around before I really figure out what I want to do for next fall.

Well at any rate, I am trying to keep up with my 1 post/week. Not quite there yet, but working on it! Wreck the Deck this weekend!!!, I'm gonna be an old man for the first time in my DX social life. Can't wait.
